Accounts Payable Lead

The AP Specialist will lead full-cycle accounts payable operations, ensuring high-volume invoices are coded and posted accurately within QuickBooks. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger through rigorous reconciliations, managing complex vendor relationships, and overseeing critical compliance tasks like year-end 1099 filings. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver dedicated to streamlining workflows and maintaining high standards of financial accuracy.

salary: $25 - $27 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable process by managing high-volume invoice entry and account coding within QuickBooks. This role ensures financial integrity through regular credit card reconciliations, vendor statement audits, and accurate month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Management: Execute weekly ACH and check runs while resolving vendor discrepancies professionally.

  • Compliance: Facilitate year-end State and Federal 1099 filings.

  • Operational Excellence: Drive departmental efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements.
