The Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Internal Medicine (General or Subspecialty). This position offers an opportunity to contribute to medical education, research, and clinical practice in a nationally recognized institution. Position Overview:The College seeks a qualified physician-educator with advanced clinical and research training. The successful candidate will engage in undergraduate and graduate medical education while contributing to research and clinical service at affiliated teaching hospitals. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Education: Teach and assess undergraduate medical students in an integrated, problem-based curriculum Contribute to the Junior and Senior Internal Medicine Clerkships Participate in postgraduate Master’s in Clinical Research programs Design curricula, oversee courses, and supervise student projects Demonstrate familiarity with USMLE, Canadian Qualifying Examinations, or equivalent standards Research: Conduct and publish biomedical clinical research Contribute to research within CMHS and affiliated teaching hospitals Collaborate with clinical colleagues on research initiatives Maintain a strong record of peer-reviewed publications Clinical Practice: Participate in clinical service covering acute Medicine and ambulatory outpatient services Provide patient care at affiliated teaching hospitals Hold or be eligible for consultant license in the UAE Required Qualifications: MD or MBBS degree from an accredited institution Board certification (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine from accredited programs in North America, Australia, Europe, or South Africa Evidence of advanced clinical and research training Eligibility for consultant license according to Department of Health regulations (www.DOH.gov.ae) Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience in university medical centers or affiliated teaching hospitals Track record in curriculum design and course oversight Experience supervising student projects Familiarity with graduate medical program operation and accreditation Certification or fellowship in North America, Australia, Europe, or the Arab Board Strong record of publishing biomedical clinical research articles About the College of Medicine and Health Sciences: CMHS operates an internationally recognized, integrated, and problem-based curriculum and provides excellent research facilities.
