We’re seeking a driven Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee multiple local sites, including Brooklyn, NY (11231), Woodside, NY (11377) and Brooklyn (11231) ensuring the reliable operation of one of the world’s largest distribution networks.

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you’ll serve as a key bridge between site teams, senior leadership, and our client — with strong visibility and advancement potential.

A Typical Day Includes:

Multi-Site Leadership

  • Oversee maintenance operations across multiple facilities
  • Ensure each site meets high standards for safety, uptime, and efficiency
  • Travel between sites as business needs require

Morning Operations

  • Lead daily team briefings to review priorities and safety updates
  • Address open issues from previous shifts

Work Order Management

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and delegate preventive and corrective maintenance work
  • Align assignments with technician skill sets and workload

Facility Walkthroughs

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment issues, safety risks, and housekeeping gaps
  • Drive proactive problem resolution

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture
  • Lead safety audits, training, and compliance initiatives

Data & Performance

  • Analyze maintenance KPIs and performance metrics
  • Prepare reports and communicate insights to leadership

Team Development

  • Coach and support maintenance technicians
  • Conduct performance reviews and support training initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience

  • 3+ years leading maintenance teams in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment

  • Strong knowledge of safety programs and compliance

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Multi-site maintenance leadership experience — REQUIRED (must have)

  • MUST have experience with maintenance or overseeing the team that does the maintenance on conveyors and robotics.

Preferred

  • Experience with conveyor systems and/or robotic maintenance environments
  • Background supporting distribution or fulfillment operations

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 annually
  • Bonus: 10% incentive opportunity
  • Schedule: Based on site needs; flexibility required including on-call support across multiple locations
