This Associate Customer Sales Manager (CSM) position perfectly embodies that ambition, as you will own & be responsible for key brands and category selling execution of $15M to $40M annual revenue with multiple distributors as a vital member of the Customer Business Team (CBT). The ACSM serves as the liaison between Kraft Heinz and the Customer’s Team, leading all selling activities & driving efforts tied to improving our gross margin & market share. The ACSM aims to deliver revenue and share objectives aligned with the Puerto Rico Business Unit targets, pursue business strategies to deliver growth, provide category management expertise, and ensure that coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and other key objectives.
 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
 

  • Effectively partner with the customer, building rapport at all levels to fully understand their business, the marketplace, and affect positive business growth.
  • Achieve New Item Authorization goals, Distribution goals, & Base Business Objectives: Revenue and Share Growth, Authorizations, Distribution, Optimal Shelving.
  • Strong knowledge in the study of syndicated (Nielsen, Circana/IRI, & WMT Retail Link, Scintilla (Walmart)  data and household panel data steers key insights and business recommendations and actions on the key sales controllable of distribution and assortment, pricing, and promotion.
  • Leading implementation of Space Management Projects and partner with distributors and retailers to conduct annual category reviews and periodic assessments.
  • Achieve promotional revenue objectives by tactic, price point, Drive Period & Selling Event while effectively implementing Kraft Heinz pricing strategies for owned categories.
  • Work with Retail Team to effectively manage retail execution of all assigned category objectives.
  • Schedule and lead monthly update and results reviews with key stakeholders at distributors, leverage KHC internal resources to support sales efforts.
  • Schedule and conduct frequent trade visits to have strong pulse on market and competitive dynamics and landscape.
  • Maintain files and business documentation to thoroughly detail business transactions.

Expected Experience & Required Skills
 

  • Proven & tested experience in customer management, account management, and/or retail sales management for a CPG company
  • Tested ability to own business process and Category management through a complex Sales position with the ability to manage multiple distributors, develop insights on how to best leverage their strengths including participation in retailer planning and strategic actions
  • Proven skills embodying a customer-first mentality for effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
  • Trusted to work autonomously within a CBT framework to plan, organize and set/achieve priorities
  • Clear examples of exhibiting polished interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with potential to negotiate and influence effectively
  • Tested proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and proprietary Sales systems such as IRI, Spark, etc. as well as Third Party supported programs such as PMR and FACTS
  • Clear examples of exhibiting strong analytical skills; Has the ability & experience using syndicated and/or ambiguous data to develop comprehensive business plans by analyzing category and brand performance and influences customer to achieve category objectives.
  • Willing to travel 10-20% out of the area as needed


Work Environment & Schedule
 

This position is considered a Normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations

Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed

Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule
