Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice President, Head of TD Insurance Platform, this role is accountable for leading the development, execution, and delivery of end‑to‑end digital and mobile technology solutions supporting TD Insurance. The role provides technology leadership across customer‑facing digital and mobile self‑service platforms and colleague enablement tools, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable experiences across channels.

The AVP is responsible for defining and driving the technology vision and roadmap for digital and mobile platforms, aligning technology delivery with business priorities and customer needs. This includes oversight of complex, cross‑functional technology initiatives with significant interdependencies across multiple platforms and lines of business, requiring strong coordination, influence, and decision‑making.

Key accountabilities include ownership of strategic technology decisions related to digital, mobile, and omni‑channel capabilities, ensuring solutions are designed for re‑use, interoperability, and long‑term sustainability. The role partners closely with product, business, architecture, and technology stakeholders to deliver cohesive, connected experiences across the customer lifecycle.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading end‑to‑end solution design and delivery across multiple specialized and cross‑functional teams.

  • Facilitating technology delivery decisions, including assessment of options, risks, and trade‑offs with downstream impacts on cost, resiliency, scalability, and customer experience.

  • Participating in business planning and defining integrated delivery approaches across applications and platforms.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder, partner, and vendor relationships to support successful execution.

  • Ensuring initiatives related to security, risk management, and regulatory compliance are effectively governed and delivered.

  • Providing people leadership through coaching, performance input, and ongoing capability development.

  • Maintaining a strong culture of risk management and control aligned with enterprise risk appetite.

  • Contributing to, and where required leading, third‑party vendor and contract engagements.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Insurance Technology experience preferred / digital transformation experience

  • Large technology team leadership experience

  • 15+ preferred years of development and technology delivery experience with Agile Delivery Experience preferred
