AUTOMOTIVE CASHIER RECEPTION

Performance Buick GMC of Cedar Knolls is looking for qualified candidates who have a professional appearance, good communication skills, are computer literate and are able to multi-task for full and part time positions.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Automotive Cashier position entails taking payments from customers and more. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate, effectively, information about Performance Auto Group’s services and vehicles. You must have clear and courteous communication, and accuracy in relaying information about prices, vehicles, and services. As well as the ability to use computers.

DUTIES:

Accept payments by cash, credit cards and checks from customers for repairs, parts, and other services. Refund customer payments for unused parts or other reasons in accordance with supervisor direction or company policy. Record receipts, delivery of change and other transactions throughout the shift. Schedule and service appointments. Direct customer calls to the desired or appropriate person/department. Answer customer questions about the status of repairs, and hours of operation.

Computer Skills. You will need skills in operating computers and computer applications that schedule service appointments. As well as prepare and print invoices and receive payments. You may be assisting in reminders to customers for maintenance, service or promotions.

General Purpose

Attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

·Assist office manager with filing paperwork in alphabetical or numerical order

· answer telephone, screen and direct calls

· take and relay messages

· provide information to callers

· provide general administrative and clerical support

· Receipt monies and create cash receipts

· receive and sort mail and deliveries

· schedule appointments

· tidy and maintain the reception area

· rental car contracts

JOB ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Customer Service Skills. You must have the ability to deliver quality service to customers. Must be able to accurately, promptly and courteously inform customers about prices. Customer service also entails good listening skills in order to understand customer’s needs and problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
