Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide direct support and behavioral interventions to children, adolescents, and adults under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

This position is ideal for compassionate individuals who are passionate about behavioral therapy, social skill development, and client advocacy. As a BHT, you’ll work one-on-one with clients to help them manage behaviors, build coping skills, and achieve their treatment goals - both at home and in community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavioral health treatment plans developed by clinical supervisors.

  • Provide direct one-on-one support and behavioral interventions to clients in home, school, or community environments.

  • Monitor, observe, and document client behaviors and progress in accordance with treatment protocols.

  • Utilize behavior modification, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and coping strategy techniques as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.

  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.

  • Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training as required.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services.

  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain clearances as required.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field.

  • Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.

  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

  • Crisis intervention certification (e.g., CPI or PCM).
