Job Description

Role Summary


We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to contribute to large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives within the banking sector. This role will focus on translating business needs into technology-driven solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and successful delivery of strategic programs.


The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, solid exposure to banking operations, and hands-on experience managing the full business analysis lifecycle across complex financial environments.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Management


  • Lead requirement discovery activities through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and business process reviews.


  • Capture, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, including user stories and non-functional specifications.


  • Create process flows, use cases, workflow diagrams, and data mappings to support solution design.


  • Maintain end-to-end traceability of requirements throughout project delivery.


  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, regulatory expectations, and technical feasibility.


Banking Domain Knowledge


  • Apply domain expertise across areas such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, Digital Channels, Treasury, and Trade Finance.


  • Understand operational processes, business rules, and compliance considerations within banking environments.


  • Support adherence to UAE regulatory standards including Central Bank regulations, AML/CFT controls, KYC processes, risk governance, and reporting obligations.


  • Exposure to Lending, Cards, or Islamic Banking frameworks is considered beneficial.


Project Delivery & Solution Enablement


  • Work closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance teams, and external vendors.


  • Participate in solution design discussions and validate business alignment of proposed systems.


  • Support integration initiatives including API and middleware-based implementations.


  • Assist in SIT and UAT phases through test planning, scenario preparation, and defect tracking.


  • Contribute to deployment readiness and post-implementation assessments.


Process Improvement & Transformation


  • Analyze existing workflows to identify improvement and automation opportunities.


  • Recommend enhancements aligned with industry best practices and digital transformation goals.


  • Support initiatives involving platform upgrades, workflow automation, and system integrations.


Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration


  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders to clarify scope, priorities, and requirements.


  • Assist with RFP/RFI preparation and vendor evaluation activities.


  • Communicate risks, dependencies, and project impacts clearly to stakeholders.


  • Facilitate collaboration and informed decision-making across teams.


Requirements

Technical Skills


  • Understanding of core banking and digital banking ecosystems.


  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.


  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).


  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, middleware, and workflow platforms.


  • Ability to perform data analysis, reconciliation, and issue investigation.


  • Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models.

  • Expertise in at least one major banking domain (Retail, Corporate, Digital Banking, Treasury, or Payments).


  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end BA activities and stakeholder workshops.


  • Experience working across multi-team and vendor-driven environments.


  • Exposure to core banking transformation or large-scale system implementation programs is highly desirable.


Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.


  • CBAP certification is advantageous but not mandatory.


  • Agile/Scrum, PMP, or Business Process Management certifications are a plu
