Business Data Analyst - Dubai

Overview

JCDecaux Middle East and Africa is seeking a Dubai-based, skilled Business Data Analyst to lead our data-driven initiatives across the region. This position will focus on developing and implementing strategies that leverage data analytics to enhance business growth, streamline operations, and provide valuable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background with a proven ability to transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or similar, with management experience.
  • Must be based in Dubai.
  • Proven experience in data analysis or a similar role, ideally within the advertising or media industry.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong experience in SQL Language.
  • Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management.
  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Strategy

  • Collaborate with the regional IT director to create and implement a data strategy for the Middle East and Africa Region.
  • Embed a governance framework ensuring accountability and data transparency across local teams.
  • Gather, process, and analyse data from various sources (CRM, Sales system & SAP) to provide insights that drive business decisions.
  • Design and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports that focus on actionable insights.

Reporting and Visualization

  • Produce insightful dashboards and reports, ensuring data is presented in an accessible and user-friendly manner.
  • Apply visualization techniques to simplify complex data, turning it into clear, digestible information.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to understand their needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
  • Conduct training to boost data literacy and empower teams to utilize data effectively.
  • Implement best practices for data management, ensuring security and integrity.
