Campground Receptionist (Seasonal)

Spend the summer in beautiful Mount Desert Island at a family owned campground surrounded by Acadia National Park! Bass Harbor Campground sits a half mile from the ocean shore and the famous Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. The campground season is May 15-October 20.

We are looking for reliable, friendly individuals to welcome and assist campground guests and tourists visiting the lighthouse for our 2026 season.

Job duties include:

  • Front desk check in
  • Answering calls and taking reservations
  • Operating and maintaining the Lighthouse Gift Shop and camp supply store
  • Providing helpful recommendations to visitors

Job requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Friendly and positive demeaner
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willing to work weekends
  • Availability throughout our peak season (June- August)
  • (preferred) 1 year customer service or receptionist experience
  • (preferred) Knowledge about Acadia National Park to provide recommendations to visitors

25 hrs per week. On site housing available- Please indicate if you are interested in this option for more information.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
