Purpose:

A CPA at The Perspective Group provides world-class client service while upholding the core values of the firm. The CPA’s role is designed to:

  • Promote the firm’s values and professional expertise within the community.
  • Prepare a wide range of income tax returns, including individual, small-business, fiduciary (trust/estate), corporate, and simple benefit plan Form 5500 returns, based on prior experience or a willingness to learn.
  • Research tax-related questions and issues; provide IRS audit support; communicate promptly with clients; support the Lead CFP® Professional with tax-informed financial planning strategies; contribute to business growth; and support teammates across the firm.
  • Build and maintain positive, rewarding client relationships grounded in trust and exceptional service.
  • Contribute towards projects, activities, and general tasks found in our advisory firm (from planning support to essential client services work). During peak tax periods this is minimized and during the off-season, these duties support the team and firm.

Internally, the CPA collaborates closely with all team members—including Client Experience, Financial Planners, and Lead Financial Planners—while maintaining a positive attitude and client-centric mindset.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and the CPA designation.
  • Strong proficiency with computer functions and relevant software, including Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis) and tax software (preferably Intuit’s Lacerte software).
  • Experience preparing individual and small-business returns, with prior experience in — or, a willingness to learn: fiduciary returns, corporate returns, and simple benefit plan Form 5500 returns.
  • The ability to analyze, collect, and communicate complex information clearly.
  • A desire to work with an excellence focused, goal-oriented, team with enthusiasm for our mission of helping clients pursue and maintain financial freedom and their best future.
