We are currently seeking a Director to join the Climate and Decarbonization Sustainability consulting team preferably based out of New York. Our team's priorities are: Delivering strategic decarbonization solutions for real estate clients, Actively collaborating across platforms, Developing our people and inspiring others, Supporting ambitions beyond the workplace, Applying new technology and data to drive change in real estate decarbonization. Responsibilities • Provide strategic direction for the Decarbonization Consulting practice, aligning with JLL's overall sustainability goals. • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities in real estate decarbonization practices. • Lead thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers, articles, and speaking engagements. • Collaborate with other JLL services to provide clients with holistic decarbonization strategies. • Oversee and lead a team with varying levels of experience from junior to more senior project managers. • Foster a culture of innovation, ethics, and excellence within the team. • Develop and implement strategies for team growth, talent acquisition, and professional development. • Provide high-level oversight on complex, high-value decarbonization projects and programs in the real estate sector on both a portfolio and asset level. • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services across all projects. • Resolve escalated issues and manage key client relationships. • Drive significant business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities in real estate decarbonization, with a focus on the East Coast market. • Meet minimum arenaflex of sales credit annually via net new wins, client renewals, and day-2 services. • Cultivate, maintain, and expand existing relationships and service offerings with key clients and industry partners. • Represent JLL at high-profile industry events and conferences to enhance the company's profile in decarbonization consulting. • Oversee financial budgeting/forecasting for the department. • Ensure overall profitability of the practice through strategic resource management, pricing, and innovation. Requirements • 10+ years experience in Real Estate Sustainability or Engineering Consulting, with at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role. • Degree in engineering, business, sustainability, real estate, or related field. • Strong understanding of the real estate life cycle and related stakeholders with proven ability to help drive organizations towards decarbonization implementation. • Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex, large-scale decarbonization projects in real estate. • Deep expertise in decarbonization strategies for buildings and real estate portfolios. • Strong understanding of global ESG trends and their application in commercial real estate. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the C-suite level. • Demonstrated ability to drive significant business growth and foster high-level client relationships on the East Coast. • Relevant certifications such as CEM, Peng, LEED AP, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, or other related credentials.
