  • Director Global Investment Banking, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

    Develop detailed financial models (including restructuring, financing, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) models). Participate in pitches and calls with clients. Complete asset level due diligence on buyer/seller portfolio. Review legal documentation. Participate and/or conduct due diligence sessions with companies. Work with analysts, associates, vice presidents, and senior banker deal team members to develop financial models and pitch book materials, conduct company research, and analyze data to help advise current or prospective corporate clients on actual or prospective M&A transactions and corporate finance offerings. Present market updates and new ideas to clients, including, but not limited to, capital markets, M&A, and capital raising. Maintain internal logs of precedent transactions, actively follow M&A deals in the space, calculate premiums paid, and calculate valuations. Train new analysts and interns to provide guidance on industrial concepts and financial modeling. Develop sector-based knowledge to present overviews of current trends, including through research on diligence sector trends. Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business by actively monitoring internal processes. Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and risks identified to line manager and the relevant risk and control functions. Execute transactions, including review of legal documents, completing Know Your Client (KYC), performing company-level due diligence, and preparing committee memos.

    Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.

    Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $300,000 per year.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.



    Must have 6 years of experience in:

  • Led financial modeling and valuation analysis in Microsoft Excel, including discounted cash flow (DCF), accretion/dilution, and leveraged buyout (LBO) models across transactions valued at $1bn+.
  • Conducted precedent transactions and comparable company analyses to support M&A strategy and investment decisions.
  • Oversaw development of complex financial models, delivering actionable insights to executive teams.
  • Partnered with senior bankers, clients, and legal teams on live and prospective transactions across multiple industries.
  • Created and presented pitchbooks and acquisition strategy presentations to clients, contributing to increases in deal conversion rate year over year.
  • Delivered valuation analyses and financial presentations in both internal and external meetings
  • Must have 4 years of experience in:

  • Directed end-to-end transaction execution, including due diligence, valuation analysis, marketing material preparation, and regulatory coordination across cross-border and domestic deals.
  • Led transactions involving both buy-side and sell-side mandates, including public market M&A, strategic partnerships, and fairness opinions resulting in $5bn+ in cumulative transaction volume.

  • Job requires FINRA Series 63, Series 79 and SIE licenses or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

    The base salary for this job is $300,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
