A Skilled Nursing Facility in Nassau County is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive referral growth and strengthen hospital and community partnerships.

This is a full-time, permanent external-facing role responsible for developing hospital relationships, increasing admissions, and supporting census stability in a competitive market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outreach strategy to increase short-term rehab and long-term care admissions
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, and physician groups
  • Strengthen referral partnerships with assisted living communities and senior service providers
  • Track referral sources, conversion rates, and market activity
  • Collaborate with Admissions and clinical leadership to review and convert appropriate referrals
  • Represent the facility professionally in hospital and community settings
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify new growth opportunities


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of business development or hospital liaison experience within a Skilled Nursing or post-acute setting required
  • Demonstrated success generating and converting hospital referrals
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and managed care processes
  • Established relationships within the Nassau County healthcare market strongly preferred
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills
