We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Operations Director to drive operational excellence across Manufacturing and Supply Chain. This is a pivotal role with real influence on the performance, growth, and future direction of our business.</p><p><br></p><p>As Operations Director, you will take ownership of the end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness at every stage. You will work closely with our cross-functional leadership team to align operational strategy with business goals, customer expectations, and growth ambitions. From optimising day-to-day production to implementing long-term strategic plans for facilities, processes, technology, and people, your impact will be felt across the organisation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead and optimise manufacturing and supply chain operations, driving efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.</li><li>Champion quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across all operations, embedding a zero-compromise culture for product and workplace standards.</li><li>Manage budgets, control costs, and implement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise inventory and procurement.</li><li>Develop and deliver strategic plans for operational growth, including future infrastructure, automation, and advanced technology adoption.</li><li>Build, inspire, and retain high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, high-quality, and safety-first culture.</li><li>Support key business initiatives including New Product Introductions, production transfers, Group-wide projects, and M&A activities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Experience, Skills & Qualifications</u></strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>5+ years in senior operations management roles, with proven experience across production, process improvement, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain.</li><li>Degree in engineering or equivalent technical qualification.</li><li>Strong track record of applying continuous improvement and automation in a low-volume, high-mix environment.</li><li>Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).</li><li>Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive change.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with financial acumen to manage budgets and deliver cost savings.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, capable of operating effectively at all levels of the organisation.</li><li>Agile, organised, and able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering results.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>About Us </u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>At Megger, our mission is simple yet powerful: to help people live confidently and work safely by harnessing the energy that powers our world.
