Director, Strategy & Business Development

This position will be remote within the United States. As our Director of Strategy & Business Development, you will partner closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to design, drive, and deliver the initiatives that accelerate our growth and profitability. This is not a back-office strategy role - it’s a high-visibility, hands-on leadership position where you’ll lead high-impact projects from concept through execution, influence senior decision-makers, and play a key role in steering the company’s future. What You Will Do • Shape the Strategic Roadmap: Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer to define and execute Henry Schein One’s long-term growth strategy, ensuring initiatives align with business priorities and market opportunities. • Own High-Impact Projects: Lead complex initiatives end-to-end, including market assessments, competitive intelligence, business case development, M&A sourcing, due diligence, negotiation support, and post-deal integration. • Tell the Story Behind the Strategy: Turn complex insights into clear, compelling narratives for the CEO, Board of Directors, and shareholders to drive alignment, investment, and action. • Deliver Executive-Ready Work: Develop presentations and strategic frameworks that blend data, visuals, and storytelling to influence key business decisions. • Drive Operational & Financial Impact: Identify, evaluate, and execute initiatives that enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer value across the organization. • Build Influence Across the Business: Cultivate trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align priorities, remove barriers, and accelerate results. • Be Hands-On: From building financial models to crafting board-level materials, roll up your sleeves and ensure speed, precision, and excellence in every deliverable. Travel/Physical Demands • Travel typically less than 10%. • Office environment with no special physical demands required. Qualifications What You Will Have • Bachelor’s degree in Strategy, Finance, Business, or a related field. • 5-7 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or a high-performance operating environment. • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, pricing strategies, and recurring revenue models. • Expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and market analysis. • Proven track record of leading and executing end-to-end strategic projects with measurable results. • Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and communication skills — able to distill complexity into clarity for executives, boards, and investors. • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable with building financial models and creating executive-ready presentations. Nice to Haves • Master’s degree • Experience in healthcare or dental technology The posted range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus arenaflex not reflected in the range.
