This is a temporary, 16-week position that will be responsible for Summer Fellowship programing, operations, reporting, and student care in D.C. from May-August of 2026. <br><br>A successful Events and Operations will be detail-oriented and able to see how executing operational tasks with excellence serves the larger mission of student and program success. Their precision should be matched with a relational savvy and emotional intelligence, and an ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders from students to alumni to high-profile speakers. They should be comfortable working on a small team with little supervision and demonstrate confidence in their task management, relational tact, and problem-solving ability. <br><br>A bachelor's degree and less than one year of relevant experience are required, while three years of experience is preferred. This position is located in Washington, D.C., and is temporary. <br><br>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.<br><br><b>What You Will Do</b><br><br><u>Plan and implement an eight-week undergraduate fellowship with the direction of the Program Director, including:</u><ul> <li>Work closely with the Program Director to ensure program success</li> <li>Implement weekly program schedule: <ul> <li>Ensure smooth execution of Tuesday-Thursday classroom seminars</li> <li>Liaise with seminar speakers on travel, logistics, and payments </li> <li>Manage financial and logistical aspects of catering two meals a day, three days a week (more as needed)</li> <li>Plan and execute weekly professional development workshops, volunteer opportunities, and site visits to partner organizations around Washington, D.C. on Fridays, including student transportation and stakeholder interactions </li> <li>Facilitate weekly Wednesday night vocational dinners with speakers </li> </ul></li> <li>Oversee student orientation and onboarding</li> <li>Coordinate logistical elements of the program including extracurricular event planning, student housing and transportation, speaker coordination, and student communication from hiring on </li> <li>Liaise between all program stakeholders, including students, Baylor staff, housing partners, contractors, speakers, and program alumni</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with students, including managing all after hours emergencies and communications outside of standard work hours</li> <li>Manage program financial processes, including vendor registration, payments, revenue and invoices, receipts/reimbursements, contracts</li> <li>Compile and submit expense reports for Program Director and other program expenses</li> </ul><u>Reporting and External Relations</u><ul> <li>Write and facilitate an exit survey for program participants, with the supervision of the Program Director </li> <li>Compile a comprehensive report using survey data and student quotes to provide to the University and program donors within two weeks of program completion</li> <li>Coordinate engagement with RSL program alumni, staff, and friends of the program in D.C. and in Waco</li> <li>Work with Baylor in Washington program team ensuring cross-program and office space collaboration </li> <li>Maintain cooperative working relationships with parents, staff, and other University personnel </li> </ul><u>Additional details pertaining to the position</u><ul> <li>Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission. </li> <li>Ability to comply with University policies </li> <li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance </li> </ul><b>What You Can Expect</b><br><br>As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
