Field Technician (m/f/d) Automotive Powertrain Systems

Responsibility for field issues related to powertrain components


Aufgaben
  • Monitoring and analyzing warranty and quality information data for ICE and (P)HEV systems to address field quality issues early on
  • Initiating and conducting claim parts and field investigations for root cause identification of ICE- and (P)HEV-related quality issues
  • Collaborating with R&D, factories and suppliers to support our countermeasure development and validation processes
  • Preparing technical reports and summaries based on results of investigations
  • Detecting and benchmarking competitor trends and new powertrain technology

Profil
  • Successful completion of a state certified technician degree with a focus on electrical and/or automotive technology; alternatively: technical master's degree with relevant work experience
  • Professional experience in a similar role with an OEM or Tier-1 supplier advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge, diagnostic expertise, and understanding of repair methods for ICE and (P)HEV powertrains, as well as related 12 V systems
  • Diagnostic experience with automated transmission systems preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive measurement software (ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, etc.) beneficial
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and analytical thinking skills as well as a drive to deliver results
  • Self-motivated and flexible character with a strong interest in working within an international team
  • Willingness for regular business travels within Germany and Europe
  • Valid class B European driver's license
