FSR Specialist (Retail Food Service)

The Specialist for Restaurant Operations will serve as the Brand Champion for all Restaurant operations. They will work in close collaboration with specific franchise brands, TA Marketing, TA Food Service as well as Restaurant PCMs, site GMs and DMs to ensure all policies and procedures are followed and programs driven accurately.Specialist will also work as the main site level representative for operational issues with specified franchise brands. Tasks will include providing support, training, and development for the operational management staff, ensuring the culture, and working environment is conducive to optimum Team Member productivity, and implementing changes to boost efficiency. They will join forces with the sites in an assigned region to ensure programs are in place and that each restaurant achieves maximum sales, margin dollars and EBITDA.They will coordinate closely with company leaders to improve all aspects of the site/company restaurant and food service programs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as the brand champion and expert, ensuring brand integrity.Plans, implements, and completes successful implementation of each specific brand’s monthly promotions at all restaurants within their region.Represents the company and provides support as needed at various trade shows and conventions.Provides feedback to Senior Management on programs and how to better implement.Works in conjunction with TA and branded Marketing to accurately plan and implement programs.Applies category and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation in product development as well as marketing initiatives.Supervises Team Member turnover and works with Site Management to develop retention strategies.Monitors and ensures all training is on target.Maintains contact with site managers through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings as well as in person site visits.Is knowledgeable and active in new restaurant system installations and programs.Supports management team to achieve targeted EBITDA, sales, margin, and labor.Supervise restaurant inventory levels.As needed, assist the Loss Prevention Group in assignments.Performs other duties as necessary to support the objectives of division and company.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or relevant and recent work experience in the restaurant industry.Years of experience in retail/marketing.Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Power Point/Word.Proven track record to successfully implement programs.Willingness to travel and holds a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Able to lead team members without having direct management responsibilities.Proficient in planning and analytical skills to build positive financial results always.  (e.g., understanding the calculations on the P &L, coverage ratio, budget & expense reports, and teaching team members to under the same.)Stays current with industry guidelines by bench marking competitors, reading convenience store periodicals.Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills and delivers information clearly and accurately in individual and group settings.CompetenciesAccountability – demonstrates and communicates a high level of ownership and commitment to achieving results.Initiative – establishes goals and gets buy-in from teams to achieve results; able to overcome obstacles to reach goals; champions new goals by becoming a strong advocate for change.Teamwork and co-operations – Call for a strong willingness to align efforts with colleagues or with other employees toward a common goal as opposed to working in competition with others.Critical thinking – is the capability to break a situation down into smaller pieces to identify its key or underlying issues.  It includes not only organizing the parts of an issue systematically and comparing all aspects of a problem, but also figuring out cause-and-effect relations that can help solve it.Problem solving – takes a systematic approach to solving problems rather than reacting to symptoms.Working Conditions / Physical RequirementsThis position will be required to lift and carry merchandise items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and climb a ladder to reach supplies stored in overhead areas as well as to inspect for cleanliness.Must have the ability to stand/walk for up to ten (10) hours/day and sit for periods up to four (4) hours/day.This position will also be required to regularly operate computer equipment efficiently.Good hand coordination, fine motor skills and manual dexterity.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Must be able to work within and outside of standard business hours in exterior and interior conditions.Requires frequent car travel, overnight stays, and air travel.Extensive travel is required which will be around 80% of work schedule.All duties must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.Why join usAt bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and ambitious environment.
