General Marketing Specialist Intern, APJ Digital Marketing

Are you passionate about marketing strategy, content creation, and driving organizational change? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a motivated Marketing Specialist Intern to join the Global Integrated Demand Center (IDC) leadership team in Singapore for a 6-month internship. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a newly established marketing team, helping to educate, align, and energize marketing teams across the globe.

Key job responsibilities
Work with internal stakeholders including Partner Development, Field Marketing, and Sales teams to identify key partner and customer businesses for targeted engagement programs. Oversee coordination with partners and customers for co-marketing campaigns, including third-party engagements and support required for program success. Design and build new marketing programs specifically for B2B cloud businesses, developing innovative approaches to partner enablement and customer engagement that can scale across the APJ region. Lead the development of marketing content for digital channels including social media, partner portals, and customer-facing platforms that resonate with technical and business audiences. Research and propose innovative B2B marketing tactics leveraging emerging technologies and channels to reach cloud decision-makers. Develop measurement frameworks to track program effectiveness and analyze engagement data to optimize future initiatives. Support the planning and execution of partner and customer events including workshops, webinars, and executive briefings, managing logistics, third-party engagements, related travel arrangements, staffing, and support required for events. Collaborate with regional marketing teams across APJ to share best practices and scale successful programs, keeping track of updated content creation guidelines and resources while developing communication materials that align with AWS brand standards and seeking approval ahead of deadlines.

About the team
The Global Integrated Demand Center (IDC) is a newly formed, centralized marketing function that drives unified, customer-centric demand generation experiences across the world. The IDC brings together cross-functional marketing capabilities including content, campaigns, digital, lead management, channels etc. under a cohesive model designed to accelerate pipeline growth and deliver consistent, high-impact customer journeys.
As part of the IDC leadership team, you will work alongside senior marketing leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to help establish and communicate the new model that defines how the IDC and marketing teams collaborate, align, and execute together.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed (within 12 months) a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience or coursework in content marketing, copywriting, or marketing communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) or equivalent tools (e.g., Google Workspace)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Must have valid work authorization to work in Singapore

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior internship or project experience in B2B marketing, content strategy, or internal communications
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, technology marketing, or the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience creating content for change management, organizational communications, or marketing enablement programs
  • Experience using Generative AI (GenAI) tools to create communication assets, such as AI-assisted copywriting, image generation, or content ideation tools
  • Strong visual storytelling skills; experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, WorkFront) or content management systems
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for marketing innovation
