Role Description

You will be responsible for the technical delivery of transformational network projects on one or more of BT’s large public sector accounts in the UK. You will help our customer align their Network strategy to their business strategy using a common methodology.

  • Work with Practice managers and Technical leads to design and deliver seamless network solutions
  • Create standardized or customized network designs in various areas and work on specific platform designs and/or customer solutions
  • Carry out pre-sales activities, planning, and implementations across a wider range of ICT Infrastructure elements (security, WAN optimization, load balancing, etc.)
  • Collaboratively work with other designers and engineers to resolve design and implementation issues and provide technical consultancy for BT’s customers
  • Use recognized tools and methodologies to create innovative Network solutions for customers

Qualifications

  • Experience in a key network design and delivery role for major customers with large complex WAN network solutions
  • Strong technical background across Network Architecture layers and comfortable presenting networks and services as an integrated solution
  • Cisco routing and switching skills and/or Fortinet Fortigate appliances
  • Ability to interpret Customer needs, assess full requirements, and identify solutions to standard and non-standard requirements
  • Experience in creating high-quality technical designs, Customer facing proposals, and detailed cost models is an advantage
  • Ability to explain difficult technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Certification - Cisco CCNP / Fortinet NSE4 or equivalent real-world experience
