Arla Foods is seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Internal Controls & Compliance Specialist to support our MENA Rest of Markets operations based from our Regional Office in Dubai. This role is critical in strengthening the control environment across multiple markets, ensuring robust internal controls, well-documented core processes, and effective internal audit execution in line with Arla's global standards and local regulatory requirements. The role will work closely with finance, operations, and the leadership teams to drive consistency, mitigate risk, and enhance governance across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core end-to-end business and finance processes.
  • Review existing processes and controls, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Plan and execute internal audits across MENA Rest of Markets.
  • Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and document findings.
  • Coordinate remediation actions and track closure of audit findings.
  • Support preparation for external audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with global policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance on SOP adherence and control standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in governance and compliance.

What Will Make You Successful In This Role

  • You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • You will have between 5–8 years' experience in internal controls, audit, or compliance.
  • Strong experience in SOP creation and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
  • Experience working across multiple countries.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English.
