Pay Grade: 108 / 111
Annual Salary Range:
IT Support Analyst+: $53,100 - $78,300
Senior IT Support Analyst+: $62,700 - $92,500
This position is part of a flexible classification. Qualified candidates may be hired at either level based on their experience, education and training as determined by the hiring authority. The successful candidate’s placement in the salary range will depend upon previous experience in a similar role. The placement shall not exceed the midpoint of the salary range.

DESCRIPTION
This position assesses, troubleshoots, and follows established guidelines to solve hardware, software, and networking problems and to provide primary and secondary technical assistance to all departments via phone, remote network technology and onsite customer support.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following
- Provides remote and on-site technical support to city departments, and support of enterprise hardware, software, related peripherals.
- Performs configuration and administration of end-user computing devices, network printers, mobile devices, VPN connectivity, workstation IP addresses, system settings, and imaging operating system software for the city’s workstation computers.
- Performs configuration and administration of end-user computing devices, network printers, mobile devices, VPN connectivity, workstation IP addresses, system settings, and imaging operating system software for the city’s workstation computers.
- Assists with maintaining accurate inventory records for hardware and software licensing. Coordinates receiving, delivery, and warehousing of computer equipment.
- Assists with software deployment through automated deployment packages, or use of enterprise system management tools.
- Collaborates with the Support Services team and other Information Technology (IT) workgroups to resolve incidents and document the work performed in the incident management system.
- This is a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) regulated position and requires the ability to meet and maintain compliance with the Security Policy.
- May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
IT Support Analyst+: One (1) year of experience in customer service or related experience.
Senior IT Support Analyst+: Three (3) years of experience in service desk support, or related experience.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
IT Support Analyst+: High school diploma or GED
Senior IT Support Analyst+: Equivalent to an associate or vocational/technical school degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Management or related field.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal one-year increments for college-level education (2 additional years for an associate degree and 4 additional years for a bachelor’s degree).
Professional Licensure and/or Certifications:
Senior IT Support Analyst+:
- Certification from CompTIA, Microsoft, or Google.
- Valid driver’s license.
