Jr. Tax Advisor/ Planner

Overview We are seeking a Junior Tax Advisor to join our dynamic tax planning team. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of taxation, strong analytical skills, and a passion for helping business owners and high-income individuals implement proactive tax-saving strategies. This role focuses on assisting with tax plan preparation, client analysis, and strategic coordination under the supervision of senior advisors. Key Responsibilities • Assist in Developing Tax Plans: Support senior advisors in building customized tax strategies for business owners, investors, and professionals. • Conduct Tax Analysis: Review tax returns, P&L statements, and entity structures to identify savings opportunities and compliance risks. • Client Data Management: Collect, organize, and input client financial data into tax planning software and internal systems. • Implementation Support: Track and document client progress on plan recommendations, follow up on deliverables, and coordinate implementation meetings. • Research & Strategy Support: Research new tax laws, credits, and deductions to support planning strategies (e.g., retirement vehicles, entity optimization, arenaflex segregation). • Communication & Documentation: Draft client summaries, reports, and action plans in a clear, professional format aligned with firm standards. • Collaboration: Work closely with accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory teams to ensure consistency and quality across client engagements. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, or financial planning preferred. • Working knowledge of individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065). • Strong Excel and/or financial modeling skills. • Experience with tax software (e.g., Drake, ProConnect, Corvee, TaxDome, or similar) a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn advanced tax strategies.
