Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a dynamic educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development and literacy. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learning needs, including children with developmental disabilities and those requiring specialized support. Breakthrough Academy Chartered Public School teachers will teach students individually, meeting their needs wherever they are. BACS teachers will strive to maintain a motivating and engaging environment that encourages students to be their best. BACS will create a classroom environment built on respect and cultivate students' use of their knowledge to flourish as human beings, striving to reach their academic and moral potential. BACS will establish strong rapport with students and their parents by fostering a community characterized by self-worth, dedication, camaraderie, and partnerships. BACS will comply with RSA 194-B:14. Section IV states, “IV. The teaching staff of a chartered public school shall consist of a minimum of 50 percent of teachers either New Hampshire certified or having at least three years of teaching experience”. All applicants will be reviewed for the skills needed to integrate with BACS's educational philosophy. Teachers who are not certified may:
a) Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
b) Have experience working in areas of study
Role and Responsibilities:
a) Understand and embrace the philosophy and methods of CBE and Farm-Based Education.
b) Skillfully apply the principles of CBE to his/her teaching.
c) Cover the prescribed curriculum and sequence.
d) Demonstrate loyalty to the school and its mission.
e) Develop each student's intellect to the best of his/her ability.
f) Develop the personal character of every student. Cooperates in the development and implementation of the school program of instruction.
g) Plans and implements a program of study that, as much as possible, meets students' individual needs, interests, and abilities and complies with New Hampshire Department of Education standards and Breakthrough Academy Chartered Public School’s goals and objectives.
h) Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
i) Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, assignments, units, and projects in harmony with curriculum goals and communicates the objectives to students.
j) Employs instructional methods and materials most appropriate for meeting stated objectives, including using computers and other technological classroom support equipment in student instruction.
k) Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
l) Shows commitment to the school’s mission, academic program, and student academic outcomes as outlined in the approved charter.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
