Academics are recruiting for an inspiring special SEMH school in Dover seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant ( LSA ) to join their nurturing and inclusive team.

About the School:

This specialist SEMH school supports pupils aged 5-16 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD and related challenges. The school's culture prioritises:

  • High staff-to-pupil support allowing personalised learning and behavioural support.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in class and during structured activities.

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs to engage in learning, build self-confidence and manage behaviour positively.

  • Assist with classroom tasks, adapting resources and approaches as needed

What we're looking for:

  • Empathetic, calm and resilient - able to build rapport quickly with pupils with complex needs.

  • Confident using positive behaviour management rooted in relationship-based practice.

  • A strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.

  • Passionate about supporting inclusion, progress and wellbeing.

** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship

** On site parking included

** 5 Day per week availability
