Long Valley Site Manager - Swim School

JOB OPPORTUNITY!!!

North Jersey Aquatics is looking to hire one or more Site Managers/Deck Coordinator/Parent Liaisons for our Long Valley location! We are seeking an upbeat, organized person who is skilled at communicating with parents and can work in person, as well as complete some administrative tasks that can be done during the day or evening at home.

IMMEDIATE NEED is for the following shifts:

  • Monday 4:00pm-6:30pm
  • Wednesday 4:00pm-7:00pm
  • Thursday 4:00pm-6:30pm
  • Friday 4:00pm-7:00
  • Saturday 9:00am-12:30pm
  • Sunday 9:00am-12:30pm

Additional shifts may be available or depending on the needs of the business. The administrative tasks at home could take approximately 1-2 hours per day to prepare for the shifts at the pool.

This position would be ideal for a parent looking for a few extra hours per week or someone who works during the day and is interested in supplementing their income with additional hours in the evening.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a background in swimming - this can include high school swim team, competitive swimming - whether as a coach or a swimmer
  • Must hold a current Lifeguard Certification or be able to pass the Lifeguard certification test prior to starting
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of instructors and coaches
  • Passion for fostering a positive and safe environment for swimmers of all levels

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of front desk experience, customer service or administrative experience, experience in classroom teaching, or any other equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctual, organized and professional
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and ability to learn customer database system
  • Flexible schedule, including weekend

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly Supervise Instructors
  • Manage and coordinate on-site schedule
  • Enforce policies and ensure safety and professionalism on deck

Client Facing Responsibilities

  • Welcome and check in/out swimmers
  • Address and resolve parent/swimmer questions or concerns
  • Collect and compile daily parent feedback for senior management

  • Part-time hourly position
  • On-site in Long Valley for the shifts listed above
  • Some pre-shift remote administrative work (1-2 hours/day)

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: at least 2 – 3 shifts per week
