Looking for character illustration to help creative educational illustrations targeted towards teens

I am a graphic designer but looking for some help with character illustration.


I am working with a transportation agency client who is looking to create a driver education course focusing on reducing phone distraction while driving.

The project would involve about 15-20 character based illustrations and since it's targeted towards teens, they wanted a comic book style and fun look.

I've attached a PDF of rough concept looks (placeholder only for composition and subject matter) and are looking to have it done similar to the style of page 1/2/5/9.

We want the characters to be consistent look throughout.


Although I am a graphic designer, illustration isn't my strong suit (I do flat illustration designs here and there but nothing character work or storytelling), I am taking care of designing the full course but I am in search of an illustrator who can help in that department.

The final is due about mid-April with majority of the work happening in March.

So ideally would have sketches for approval but they would be mostly character plus background with the exception of a few slides.


If interested, please share your portfolio especially if you have a style close to what I'm looking for or have worked with character illustration before.

Budget is open right now however I am definitely willing to pay extra if the expertise is there. Thank you in advance
