Sustainability is not just a goal but an integral part of UnitedHealth Group's business strategy, culture, and mission, ensuring that the health care system works better for everyone. In this position, the Manager will be responsible for a multi-dimensional approach to environmental sustainability, which includes measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across various categories such as medical gases, aviation, and employee commuting. The role requires collaboration with data owners in real estate, procurement, and treasury to develop comprehensive GHG emissions performance tracking that meets operational, regulatory, and reporting needs. The Manager will also track progress against milestones and measurements towards achieving enterprise environmental goals through a multi-year roadmap and scorecards. Additionally, the Manager will assess target areas for external reporting on the environmental impact of better care and health outcomes, such as value-based care and telehealth. This includes building executive decks and board updates on environmental activities and performance, as well as supporting the execution of organizational policies and practices that address environmental risks and opportunities.
