Description Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United's global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United's customers. Job overview and responsibilities The Manager - SOC Performance & Execution role drives development and execution of SOC tools, training, processes, and other critical areas needed for standardization within the SOC scope. This role will act as a support to the Director - SOC Performance & Execution in liaising with various other groups such as the NOC, Tools & Technology Teams, ATW / BTW Performance & Execution Teams, and more. The goal of this role will be representing the needs and priorities of the Hub SOCs, Move Team, and Line Station Ops Representatives by management and development of tools and technology. Provides comprehensive product project management support, representing the needs and priorities of the SOCs (Stations Operations Control), Move Team, and Line Station Operations, and collaborates across departments to work on projects aligned with United's United Next goals Partners with Hub Managing Directors, Directors, and SOC & Move Team Sr Managers to create a strategic vision for United's future in these roles, supporting their capacity to manage a growing flight schedule Builds and maintains performance tools, and creates visibility and insights around operational metrics Development will be focused on Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform technology Presents regular updates to key divisional and cross-departmental executives regarding progress on key initiatives and supporting implementation of acquired feedback NOTE: This position is located at the AHSC-Arlington Heights Service Center located in Arlington Heights, IL and considered as a hybrid role working 3 days in office, however that may evolve with the needs of the company. Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business, Project Management, Airline Operations, and or Computer Science 3+ years of experience in a strategic operational role required (Airline/Airport related Preferred) 1+ years of leadership experience with projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders Proven track record for decisive action backed by strategic planning, continuous improvement, analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance Ability to work in a time constrained, very high-pressure environment Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication Analytical understanding of IRROPs Comprehensive understanding of tools and process within the SOC scope Must be willing and able to travel 25% domestic Must be willing and able to work a hybrid schedule at the AHSC-Arlington Heights Service Center located in Arlington Heights, IL Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): Master's degree or 6 years of relevant work experience Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on airline management, aviation or industrial engineering preferred Quantitative and qualitative analysis preferred Thorough knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform technology The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
