Position Overview

We are looking for a Mid QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering Guild. In this role, you will be part of an agile delivery team, supporting testing efforts across the software development lifecycle. You’ll work closely with senior team members and play an active role in estimation, sprint planning, test case development, defect tracking, and reporting.

You will also help mentor junior analysts and support test planning and communication in client-facing contexts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze system specifications and user stories to design and develop test cases
  • Participate in grooming and estimation sessions
  • Identify testing risks and raise blockers early
  • Recommend workarounds or test strategies when appropriate
  • Design, create, and execute manual test cases using QA best practices
  • Ensure traceability between test cases and requirements
  • Track and report on test case coverage and test execution status
  • Create and maintain test data
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation
  • Facilitate defect triage meetings with Technical Architects
  • Support senior TTAs and serve as backup when needed
  • Present sprint deliverables and updates in demos or QA meetings
  • Create QA dashboards using test management tools

Qualifications
Must Have:
  • 2–4 years of QA experience in software testing and test case design
  • Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, and test management tools (e.g., Quality Center, Azure DevOps)
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL queries
  • Experience testing REST APIs or understanding of API testing concepts
  • Exposure to Agile/SCRUM environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English for client demos and triage calls

Nice to Have:
  • Experience acting as backup for a Senior QA Analyst
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior QA team members
  • Exposure to ETL testing
  • Experience working directly with clients or in cross-functional teams
