OnCall Digital Radiology APN

Overview:
The OSF OnCall Digital Radiology APN (APN) is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing virtual care to a diverse population of patients across the Ministry through technology in their home environment. The APN will perform a variety of functions including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention within their scope of practice. Utilizes evidenced based care and clinical decision support to guide practice. Performs ongoing communication and works to promote quality of care through collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members, patients and families. The APN demonstrates service excellence and accountability through recognizing the direct relationship between cost-effective and efficient provision of care and services including the impact of access to care.

JOB SPECIFICS:
  • Responsible for the clinical aspect of our programs including
    • Management of ED abnormal results,
    • Ordering/following Mammograms and Low Dose CTs for lung cancer screening
    • Seeing patients virtually as a part of our virtual rapid diagnostic clinic for our actionable findings program.
  • Great intrapersonal communication skills and patient facing skills. With the ability to interpret results, imaging, etc and adapt new care plans accordingly.
  • Work from home opportunity, ability to grow in the digital world and see how healthcare is evolving.
  • Be a leader among the team and communicate well with nurses. Strong bedside manner as some of these results can be sensitive. Technology focused, skilled, and driven as we do everything virtually.

  • Strong background in reading images, oncology experience as either a nurse or provider, experience with virtual visits.
  • Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-73.68
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in nursing Experience: 1 years of clinical experience Licensure/ Certification: Must have an Illinois RN License and Illinois APN license upon hire. A Michigan RN license and a Michigan APN license must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Excellent communication skills, including telephone/video etiquette and customer service. Understanding of the principles of performance improvement, case management, discharge planning, utilization review, and medical records. Demonstrated ability to work independently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Advanced Practice Provider Working knowledge of Epic EMR System. Experience in Emergency Medicine and/or Oncology background.
