About the Role

We are looking for an Ops Delivery Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives by enabling high-performing teams, ensuring predictable outcomes, and fostering continuous improvement.

In this role, you will lead multiple Agile teams in parallel, partnering closely with client stakeholders and internal leadership to align priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and increase product value through metrics-driven delivery and strong Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). You will act as a trusted, client-facing delivery partner, balancing governance, team health, and measurable value creation at scale.

Responsibilities

Program & Project Delivery

  • Own delivery planning and execution across multiple concurrent Agile teams, ensuring milestones, scope, and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain delivery predictability through structured planning, release cadence management, and governance artifacts (status reporting, RAID logs, decision tracking, dependency mapping).
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives and scale delivery using SAFe practices when applicable.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments.

Agile Leadership (Scrum / Kanban / SAFe)

  • Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies across multiple teams.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, flow efficiency, and working agreements to improve throughput and outcomes.
  • Promote alignment on Definition of Ready/Done and quality standards.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as a client-facing delivery lead, building trust and transparency with IT and Agile Delivery leadership.
  • Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and metrics clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to refine priorities and ensure value-focused delivery.

Metrics, Predictability & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish, track, and analyze delivery metrics (lead time, cycle time, throughput, predictability).
  • Identify systemic bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance flow efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives grounded in data and measurable outcomes.

People Enablement & Team Performance

  • Enable high-performing teams through effective collaboration, conflict resolution, and team-building practices.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters and promote consistent delivery standards across engagements.
  • Support professional growth and operational excellence with an Engineering Management mindset when applicable.

Technical & Professional Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience leading Agile delivery in software environments (Scrum/Kanban), including exposure to scaled frameworks such as SAFe.
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams concurrently and managing delivery governance with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated client-facing communication capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaboration experience with Engineering, QA, Product, and Business Analysis functions.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments at scale.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as an Engineering Manager and/or Business Analyst in addition to Scrum Master or delivery leadership roles.
  • Experience with discovery practices such as story mapping, impact mapping, slicing techniques, and writing acceptance criteria (Gherkin).
  • Agile certifications such as CSPO, CSD, or comparable credentials.

What Success Looks Like
  • Stable delivery cadence with strong predictability and transparent governance.
  • Measurable improvements in flow efficiency (reduced lead/cycle time).
  • Reduced delivery surprises through proactive risk and dependency management.
  • High stakeholder satisfaction driven by alignment, transparency, and value-focused delivery.
  • Strong team health reflected in collaboration, working agreements, and continuous improvement.
