About the position This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior P&C Broker - Remote. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Wholesale Broking Division by leveraging your technical expertise and administrative skills to enhance account placement and client services. Your focus will be on the small market, especially in relation to casualty and construction accounts, ensuring that our partners receive top-notch service. This position will challenge you to engage constantly with retail agency personnel and underwriters while managing a diverse portfolio. Responsibilities • Communicate with retail agency personnel and underwriters to ensure accurate account information. • Prepare and handle existing renewal accounts. • Solicit new business from retail clients. • Assist with inputting and updating current client information in all required systems. • Manage up to 40 accounts a week, ranging from $2,500 up to $100k in premium. • Prepare market submissions and quote cover letters to Agents while reviewing policies for accuracy. • Handle account transactions, internal processing and document preparation. • Engage and negotiate with various carrier relationships. • Resolve invoicing issues with Premium Accounting. • Ensure claim notifications are sent to the claims department. Requirements • 7+ years of relevant experience in a commercial insurance brokerage or production underwriting environment specific to casualty offerings. • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. • Wholesale or retail agency/brokerage experience required. • Must be able to pass state exam and obtain insurance license, if not currently licensed. • Demonstrated understanding of insurance products and services. • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision in a fully remote setting. • Strong external communication with markets and internal team members. • Critical attention to details. • Proficiency in arenaflex Office.
