Repton Dubai seeks to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Physical Education to join its highly regarded PE and Sport Department from August start.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic department of over 20 specialist staff, supported by a senior leadership team that places genuine value on PE and Sport within the wider educational experience.

All staff contribute across both PE and the co-curricular sport programme, which includes a full fixtures calendar, tournaments, international tours and strong links with our founding school, Repton UK. In the Senior School, students access several academic PE pathways, alongside a well-established High Performance Programme from Year 5. In the Junior School, PE, Swimming and Sport are delivered as specialist subjects from Early Years through to Year 6. Through close collaboration with our Boarding and House teams, we strive to create “homes of excellence” where sporting potential, character and wellbeing are actively nurtured.

We are seeking a teacher who is committed to developing every student, at every level, while also demonstrating the expertise and ambition to teach and coach high-performing athletes. A strong commitment to extra-curricular sport is essential, contributing to both the quality of student experience and success at school, national and international level. The successful applicant will demonstrate imagination, drive and enthusiasm, alongside the interpersonal skills to challenge, support and inspire students, and a strong understanding of contemporary developments in Sport and Exercise. 

Applicants should have experience coaching one or more of the following major sports: Netball, Football, Cricket, Athletics, Rugby or Swimming.

Experience of teaching in independent school sport or top international school PE and sport programmes will be an advantage.

Following an internal promotion to SLT, we have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding PE teacher to join our team. The school is launching a brand-new state of the art facility expansion plan over the summer holidays so you will be joining an exceptional team of colleagues at the start of an ambitious five-year plan for sport.

Our ambition with our new facilities is to become the choice school for Sport in the GCC.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree plus QTS and PGCE

For specialist teachers, the bachelor’s degree must be in a directly related field (e.g. English teacher should have a English related bachelor’s degree)

Ideally, we require a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience

Experience teaching in British Curriculum or IB schools

An interest in athletic development and holistic education in PE and Sport

Experience coaching one of our team sports (Netball, Football, Rugby)

Experience teaching swimming is advantageous
