Product Manager (Terminal Device Expansion)

Requirements • 8+ years of product management experience or equivalent, • Demonstrated success and strong execution track record in building and sustaining scalable technology products, • Great interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication. You can collaborate and thrive in productive, healthy debate done with mutual respect and shared goals. You will obsess over stability, scalability, and expanding our product while delivering the best in person experiences in the world, • Set a motivating multi-year vision for device software in partnership with the Hardware team and then break it down into measurable, meaningful milestones for the Terminal OS Platform Team and the Firmware team, • This includes creating buy-in, crafting roadmaps and OKRs, and navigating trade-offs, • Partner with software and hardware engineers to deeply understand the technology that our devices rely on and how to build on that technology to support exponential growth and a world-class user experience, • These experiences will include (but are not limited to) device boot up, device software updates (including AOSP, firmware and applications), device security, software and device performance, connectivity and devices accessories, • Partner with cross-functional partners to research, document, and deeply understand what Terminal customers need to enable an excellent in person payments experience, • Build empathy with our end users and the differentiation they aim to deliver for their merchants, • Deeply research and understand the competitive landscape and translate that understanding into differentiating features for your product suite, • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop a compelling roadmap for how we can extend Terminal growth via third-party hardware partnerships and clearly communicate the business value of these partnerships in the context of our wider Terminal Hardware roadmap to gain alignment across Terminal and Stripe leadership, • Use metrics to inform your point of view and leverage analytics to measure success, • Define product requirements, provide clear guidance on prioritization, and support decisions related to development sequencing.
