To be considered for a Production Operator role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • Possess Mechanical Aptitude.

  • Experience soldering or able to become certified.

  • Possess good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors and good hand dexterity/ range of motion, including mobility.

  • Able to lift 20 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

  • Ability to work with and around magnets that have a strong electromagnetic field.

As a Production Operator you will:

  • Assemble electromechanical products using all required manufacturing documentation and tooling; including rotor, stator sub-assembly, rotor assembly, motor assembly, which may be simple and repetitive, requiring simple set up.

  • Operates machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.

  • Install lead wire pin connectors.

  • Operates stator potting mixer/applicator.

  • Apply varnish to stator winding, where applicable and apply glue and activator by brush to stator and rotor assemblies.

  • Operate mold transfer press.

  • Attach heat sink onto circuit board and applies "potting" compound.

  • Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive for performance per specifications.

  • Ability to load and monitor automated machinery.

  • Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.

  • Complete cross-training in all operations.

  • Need to sit or stand for long periods of time, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

  • Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

Salary Range Transparency:

Murphy, NC $16.00-$21.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
