Program Operations Specialist (Entry-Level or Associate)

About the position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level or Associate Program Operations Specialist to join their team to support the Commercial Modifications organization in Long Beach, CA . This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. We are looking for a candidate that is experienced in invoicing, scheduling, reading contractual language, following processes and protocols, program/project management, collaborating cross-functionally, has good financial foresight, and has the ability to problem solve complex issues to provide creative and useful solutions to help run the business. We are looking for a proactive candidate that works well independently with strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide invoicing support for various service programs to help facilitate timely payments and meet program cash targets
  • Process acceptances for new projects / contracts in the business
  • Create invoice requests based on contractual commitments for all Commercial Modifications customers
  • Lead coordination with the program, schedulers, and finance to maintain invoicing schedule to contractual obligations and amendments
  • Assist with invoice disputes and investigations by customer request
  • Provide support for core system to help maintain operating functionality

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Effective time management, communication, and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the end-to-end invoicing process from generation to payment
  • Experience interpreting contract requirements for deliverables
  • Experience with use and development of various visualization tools (Tableau, PowerPivot, etc.)
  • Experience on an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Ability to understand, follow, and document processes, workflows, and deviations to support audit activities
