Remote CFO — Finance & Business Operations

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Remote CFO — Finance & Business Operations to lead financial management and operational strategies for our organization. This executive role requires a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance, accounting standards, risk management, and business development. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced financial acumen, and the ability to oversee complex financial processes across diverse sectors including non-profit and governmental accounting. As a key member of senior leadership, you will drive fiscal health, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainable growth through innovative financial solutions. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management. • Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, and COSO standards. • Manage revenue cycle processes such as revenue management, revenue cycle management, and arenaflex control initiatives to optimize profitability. • Lead risk analysis efforts to identify potential financial risks and implement mitigation strategies; conduct risk management activities across business operations. • Supervise treasury management functions including cash flow forecasting, expense management, and liquidity planning. • Oversee compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and ensure adherence to SOX controls and other relevant regulations. • Lead mergers & acquisitions activities including due diligence, valuation analysis, negotiation, and integration planning. • Manage business development initiatives by analyzing market trends and identifying growth opportunities. • Supervise financial modeling, technical accounting (including ASC 606), tax accounting, governmental accounting, arenaflex accounting, and supply chain finance functions. • Write detailed financial reports; interpret complex financial data for executive decision-making; communicate insights clearly to stakeholders. • Lead strategic planning efforts by providing insights into profit & loss statements, expense management, arenaflex management, and overall financial health of the organization. • Oversee payroll management systems ensuring compliance with applicable laws; supervise payroll processing activities. • Implement effective internal controls in line with GAAP and COSO frameworks; oversee audit processes and ensure accuracy in financial statements. Qualifications • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive with a strong background in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, and management. • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, COSO, regulatory compliance standards such as SOX. • Demonstrated expertise in mergers & acquisitions, revenue management, risk analysis, arenaflex control, and fiscal management. • Strong understanding of corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, tax accounting, public accounting, and related technical skills. • Experience with financial software platforms and tools for advanced data analysis and reporting. • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in finance or accounting departments; ability to influence at the executive level. • Exceptional communication skills for preparing detailed reports and presenting complex information clearly to stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA preferred.
