[Remote] Global Housing E-Course Development Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Habitat for Humanity International is planning to launch a global housing curriculum for its network and key partners. The Global Housing E-Course Development Consultant will be responsible for designing and developing an e-learning experience using Articulate learning software, ensuring that the curriculum meets the needs of diverse learners and adheres to Habitat's brand guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Network Learning Lead, MEARL, the Global Talent Team [GTM] and the curriculum core design team members
- Provide content advice and support in the development of the e-course lessons based on the initial curriculum documentation
- Consider the core team’s feedback and incorporate based on agreement
- Follow delivery process mechanism: Proposal and delivery according to an agreed process outline, such as: kickoff meeting with major stakeholders to align design concepts, engagement interactions and project milestones
- Review/ check in meetings for course outline, draft user interface / course look and feel, storyboard delivery and each review cycle
- Review check in[s] or activity to discuss feedback during key milestones as needed
- Testing phase in LMS for successful delivery during implementation phase
- Developing the learning experience based on available housing foundations “raw” contents provided by HFH
- Design a cohesive experience that is engaging, exploratory in nature, and inclusive of interactive features e.g. text, images, navigation control, click to reveal, animations, graphics, drag and drop, text input, hotspots, etc
- Consider the entire project while being mindful that learners may only choose to engage in one or several modules
- Light narration to guide the learner and set-up context is preferred but up for discussion
- Include external exploratory assets such as links to additional resources, documents to read, videos and quizzes
- Ensure the design adheres to Habitat Brand Guidelines, HFH pictures, videos, and AI policy
- Ensure e-course design reflects standard criteria for accessibility and responsive interfaces [mobile, PC etc.]
- Deliver comprehensive e-course package including Assessment Materials, Graphic and design files, documentation or user guides, and reporting or analytics
- Provide the original source files or transfer of files to licensed Articulate owner in Habitat for all e-learning modules
- Deliver all multimedia assets used in the course, including images, videos, audio files and any interactive elements following quality standards
- Ensure published outputs are compliant with SCORM/xAPI packaging for tracking and deployment in our learning management systems
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in e-course instructional design
- Demonstrated experience in learning program development using Articulate suite
- Demonstrated experience creating quality natural and animated videos using tools such as Vyond
- Demonstrated experience in working with international organizations across geographies
- Provide examples of relevant past projects, including links where possible
- References from previous clients for similar work
- Secondary publication: entire course package or standalone assets deployed on SharePoint is a nice to have
- Light narration to guide the learner and set-up context is preferred but up for discussion
