Princess Cruises operates an advanced and extremely complex revenue management system (YODA) which was a finalist for the Edelman Awards in 2020. This system provides millions of daily recommendations which assist revenue managers in correctly pricing cruises and is used across seven brands within Carnival Corporation. While this position sits within Princess, it is in support of all seven brands which use YODA. This purpose of this role is to ensure that YODA is a tool that enables our revenue management teams by ensuring the system stays cutting edge, continually balancing competing priorities across different brands and ensuring adoption of the system. This role will act as a key point of contact for all business-related aspects of YODA working with Revenue Managers and Analysts across brands to support its adoption within each revenue management department. Responsibilities: Global Collaboration: Build and nurture collaborative relationships with Revenue Managers and Revenue Analysts across all brands to promote the exchange of revenue management ways of working. Champion cross-brand collaboration where appropriate, and actively contribute to the development of a unified, global revenue management community. Develop an understanding of each brand's priorities related to YODA, ensuring these are shared across the revenue management community to foster alignment, transparency, and collective progress. YODA Project Management: Supporting the Revenue Management Strategy Senior Director on the implementation of YODA for all the participating brands. This includes developing hypotheses, identifying potential opportunities to leverage new enabling capabilities (e.g., generative AI), and contributing to project plans. Once a project is formulated, you must also contribute to the creation of RFPs, support the tracking of available resources and monitor how project objectives are met through project deliverables. During a project, track the progress of developments and ensure it is aligned to agreed prioritization. Feedback updates on project status to Revenue Management Strategy Senior Director, highlighting areas of concern. Understand the processes by which issues are raised and triaged, supporting appropriate delegation of issues. In order to contribute effectively to this project, ad hoc travel to all of our brand office locations will be required. Additionally, work hours will need to be adjusted to provide overlap with the brand locations. Business SME: Act as the main point of contact for all business-related aspects of the YODA platform, translating commercial requirements into system enhancements and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. They will gather, analyses, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks linked to YODA development and usage. Evaluate existing revenue management processes, recommend improvements linked to YODA, and support the implementation of best practices to maximize efficiency and profitability Knowledge & Skills: Scope: The Senior Analyst, Revenue Management Strategy supports the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at optimizing revenue across the fleet. This role involves assisting with pricing strategies, inventory analysis, and demand forecasting to help maximize profitability across several brands within Carnival Corporation. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with team leads and managers in revenue management and may occasionally contribute to presentations for senior leadership to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in revenue management within the travel or hospitality industry and a demonstrable record of supporting financial performance improvements. Problem-solving: The Senior Analyst, Revenue Management Strategy is expected to support the resolution of revenue optimization challenges across multiple cruise line brands. This role requires the ability to work with large datasets, identify key patterns, and assist in the development of initiatives to increase revenue. The individual will help monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to contribute to effective pricing and inventory management recommendations. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with various departments to help implement solutions that support overall business objectives and profitability. Impact: The Senior Analyst, Revenue Management Strategy plays a supporting role in driving the financial performance of the company by contributing to revenue management strategies. Working as part of the team responsible for delivering at least 1% yield impact per year, this position helps ensure the achievement of these goals. The Senior Business Analyst impacts the business by supporting the optimization of pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. The role also involves working with other departments to support alignment with company objectives and using data analytics to inform recommendations and decision-making processes Leadership: As a Senior Analyst within the Revenue Management Strategy team, you will support the strategic direction set by senior leadership and contribute to the success of the global YODA teams. Your responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues to foster a results-driven and cooperative environment and helping to ensure that team efforts are aligned with the company's revenue objectives. You will play a role in managing resources and budgets under guidance, utilizing data to inform your work, and supporting initiatives that enhance business performance. This position involves partnering primrily with business teams but also with data science teams to support cross-functional projects and help drive optimal revenue outcomes Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Mathematics or other quantitative discipline. Advanced degree preferred. 3-5 years' experience in strategy, revenue management, or other analytical and strategic roles. Preferably experience in cruise and / or other travel. Experience managing projects and stakeholders. This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company's schedule of four days in the office per week (Monday - Thursday).
