Senior Director, Law Firm Innovation

Harbor is seeking a visionary Senior Director to lead a consulting practice focused on law firm innovation, with a strong emphasis on AI, advanced analytics, workflow automation, and emerging technologies. This role will be instrumental in helping law firms harness innovation to transform legal service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and enhance client value. The ideal candidate will be a credible thought leader with deep expertise in legal innovation and a track record of building high-impact teams and offerings. This is a remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the US. Key Responsibilities: • Build and lead a consulting practice focused on AI, automation, analytics, and innovation in law firms. • Advise clients on the adoption and integration of emerging technologies and innovation strategies. • Develop productized service offerings and reusable frameworks to support scalable delivery. • Collaborate across Harbor practices and with external vendors to deliver integrated solutions. • Serve as a trusted advisor to law firm innovation leaders, technologists, and senior stakeholders. • Contribute thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and industry forums. • Support business development efforts and cultivate long-term client relationships. • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of consultants. Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in legal innovation, AI, analytics, or consulting within the law firm ecosystem. • Proven track record of building and scaling consulting practices or service lines. • Deep understanding of AI models, automation tools, and advanced technologies in legal environments. • Strong consultative skills and executive presence. • Demonstrated ability to develop productized offerings and drive business growth. • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
