The Slitter Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of their machine and to ensure a quality product in a safe manner.. This role is located in <strong>Alliance, OH</strong> and will be fully on-site.<br><br><strong> Starting P ay: $24.49 per hour <br><br></strong><strong> Schedule: 3rd Shift 10:00pm-6:30am <br><br></strong><strong> Pay Schedule: Weekly <br><br></strong><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Slitter Operator </strong><strong>Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Must wear all required PPE. </li><li> Install, unwind, and rewind arbors per the work order specifications. </li><li> Set up machine using tooling sizes and clearances that will meet work order/customer specifications. </li><li> Inspect tooling before installing for any scratches, abrasions, or other defects. </li><li> Set up guide rollers (if applicable) to ensure material will wind up straight without defects. </li><li> Inspect material before loading for any damage or defects. </li><li> After metal is fed through the machine a sample needs taken to check gauge, width, camber, and any other special specifications required by the customer. </li><li> Watch the machine while running to ensure safe operations. </li><li> Make necessary operating adjustments while running to ensure a quality product. </li><li> Inspect material after running to make sure nothing has changed. </li><li> Complete all inspection sheets and quality checks required in the work order. </li><li> Complete all remaining paperwork. </li><li> Tag all restocks, finished goods, or hold material for traceability. </li><li> When order is completed, all tooling taken out needs to be cleaned before returning. </li><li> Pre-pack material for shipping. </li><li> General housekeeping duties; sweeping the floors, trash disposal. </li><li> All other duties assigned. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Slitter Operator Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. </li><li> Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred. </li><li> Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. </li><li> The ability to sit and stand for no specific time requirements. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…<br><br></strong><ul><li> Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more! </li><li> Retirement Savings - 401(k) contribution + match. </li><li> Work/Life Balance - Paid Vacation & Holidays. </li><li> Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
