Software Testing Trainee – Entry Level Remote Job

Mindtree is seeking motivated and detail-oriented freshers to join as Software Testing Trainees in a remote entry-level position. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and tools used in modern software development. The Software Testing Trainee will collaborate with development teams to ensure software quality, perform testing activities, and contribute to delivering high-quality software products for clients globally. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in planning, designing, and executing test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing as per project requirements. • Report, document, and track defects using testing tools and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. • Support automation testing efforts by learning and applying relevant frameworks and tools. • Ensure adherence to quality standards, testing guidelines, and timelines. • Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and learning programs. • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). • Familiarity with manual and automated testing concepts and tools. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately. • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience: • Freshers from 2023–2025 batch are eligible. • Academic projects, internships, or certifications in software testing are advantageous but not mandatory. Working Hours: • Remote work with flexible timings. • Standard commitment of 20–25 hours per week is preferred. • Ability to meet project deadlines and coordinate with global teams if required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Understanding of testing methodologies such as black-box, white-box, and user acceptance testing. • Basic knowledge of tools like Selenium, JIRA, QTP, or LoadRunner is a plus. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative virtual environment. • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
