From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for a SAP Technical Program Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Project Kuiper initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectation

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of projects related to the Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) module from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.
  • Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.
  • Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.
  • Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.
  • Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.
  • Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset management, project system, cost center accounting, and product cost controlling.
  • Develop high level designs utilizing SAP S/4 HANA FICO module to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.
  • Have an ability to navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrate crisp communication skills, have experience communicating project status to a broad audience and be willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • 5+ years experience working as a functional lead or product manager with expertise in configuring SAP S/4 HANA FICO module to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP Material Actual Costing and Project Billing systems.
  • Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Make to Stock, Make-to-Order, & Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Experience with Oracle and Coupa applications.
  • Basic or working knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP, or similar standards.
