Strategic Business Analyst

<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>Reporting to the Director Business Solutions, the Team Lead will coordinate and lead all quoting activities for the Strategic Business Team by providing strategic and tactical analysis for both internal and external customers. This role is responsible for leading all phases of the quoting process from inception through completion, including opportunity qualification, strategy definition, and acting as a key liaison between Sales and Purchasing. The Team Lead will support the analysis and follow-up of quoted opportunities, ensuring value-added insights that assist Sales in successfully booking business. Additional responsibilities include global coordination across regions and multi-site customers, maintaining documentation, supporting training initiatives, preventing part and profit loss, driving incremental revenue growth, and contributing to the development of leading-edge solutions tailored to individual customer needs.<br><br><strong>Essential Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Qualify all opportunities directly with sales team and recommend quote strategies</li><li>Manage and co-ordinate the clean-up and upload of raw BOM ensuring data accuracy</li><li>Create a pre-quote synopsis of each opportunity to identify line count, value, commodity spread, top brands, product life cycle and lead time analysis. </li><li>Manage the workflow of sourcing opportunities with Purchasing teams and Business Development group and ensure deadlines are clearly defined, communicated and achieved</li><li>Seek out necessary experts to assist in resolving any delays to the deadline</li><li> Ensure projects drive improvement towards Jabil’s top corporate initiatives</li><li> Develop tools, models and databases for team to utilize in their work</li><li> Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy</li><li>Work with data owners as required, identifying data discrepancies & maintaining validation rules</li><li>Increase part count per customer, increase AVL expansion to existing customer base</li><li>Review costs to enhance/increase gross profit margin through data tracking (internal/external), delivering a competitive offer while preventing part & profit loss</li><li>Track, manage and review all quotations with analysts before presenting to sales</li><li>Provide a detailed executive summary of the final quote proposal to sales</li><li>Collaborate with sales to identify awards, non-awards/lost business, work with sales to gather customer feedback for re-quote or use for future metrics</li><li>May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned <br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Qualifications<br><br></strong>KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS<br><br>Knowledge of or experience in the following fields (with experience of the supporting tools and metrics) are required:<br><br><ul><li>Industry knowledge of electronic component manufacturers and part numbers</li><li>Independent broker experience is a must</li><li>Hands-on experience with quoting processes and strategies</li><li>Attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset</li><li>Strong project management skills</li><li>Expert level of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) & adaptability to quickly learn new software packages.
