About the position

Summary of the Job: Responsible for implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting HPE Non-Stop infrastructure systems. Ability to demonstrate expertise in said architecture, performance optimization, security best practices and continuous maintenance practices for critical systems. Ability to work closely with other team members, software & hardware vendors and end-users to collaboratively design technical solutions that meet the business needs. Serve as a technical resource regarding the implementation and optimization of complex server-based configurations by providing expertise in various infrastructure platforms that include: storage management, disaster recovery systems architecture, patch management and backup and recovery. About This Role: Systems Engineer: · Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and administration of HPE Non-Stop hardware and related devices and software. · Provide expertise to critical production issues and provide hands-on support when work volume dictates · Responsible for maintaining monitoring tools related to the hardware and associated devices · Accountable for the administration of the organization’s backup, disaster recovery systems, and processes. · Responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance and administration of the organization’s security patching systems for all server infrastructure. Regularly apply upgrades and patches for the associated server operating systems, software and hardware. Work collaboratively to assist others in the deployment of application-based patches. · Responsible for implementing and remediating security vulnerabilities · Ability to leverage group policy management when possible Team Accountabilities: Customer Focus Understands and anticipates customer and employee needs and takes action to ensure products and service exceed their expectations. The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Ideal candidate will have at least an Associate degree in the related area with 5+ years of experience directly supporting HPE Non-Stop hardware in an enterprise server environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating team building attitude and skills.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience supporting and managing change to the HPE Non-Stop platform. Including experience patching hardware and all components.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting Hardware Security Module’s, preferably Atalla
  • 2 years of experience with the Prognosis monitoring tool
  • Good understanding of the HPE concepts and facilities.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating team building attitude and skills.
  • Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • XYPRO product experience desired.
  • RDF/ DRNET (data replication) experience desired.
  • Programming experience desired
