Join our Operational Excellence team to help define and document the core processes that drive our business forward. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality Business Essential Documents (BEDs) that ensure our operations are clear, consistent, and audit-ready.

responsibilities:
Develop, write, and revise SOPs, Policies, Processes, and Procedures using established Operational Excellence documentation standards and best practices.

- Perform research and analysis, partnering with subject matter experts to understand existing workflows, terminology, systems, and decision points.

- Facilitate interviews, working sessions, and clarification meetings with stakeholders and SMEs to collect accurate information for BEDs.

- Identify process gaps or unclear areas within stakeholder provided workflows and escalate or clarify appropriately. provided workflows and escalate or clarify appropriately.

- Conduct peer reviews of documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, alignment with templates and standards, and audit readiness.

- Maintain version control, manage updates, track communication history, and support audit requirements.

- Log changes, approvals, and documentation updates in compliance with Operational Excellence governance standards.

- Support senior leadership requests related to documentation, research, communications, and BED lifecycle tasks.

- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

- Recommend improvements to documentation clarity, structure, standards, and governance practices.

- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate existing processes and identify gaps or inconsistencies.

- Ability to facilitate productive conversations with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather accurate information.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical content into clearly structured documents.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating proactive follow through and strong organizational skills.

- Critical thinking skills to analyze, validate, and clarify operational details in a fast paced environment.

- Ability to communicate professionally with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet.

- Familiarity with documentation governance platforms such as SharePoint or LogicGate is preferred but not required.

 
qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of professional experience in Technical Writing or Business Documentation.

Proven ability to research complex workflows and translate them into clear instructions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio.

Must provide a portfolio or writing samples for review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Smartsheet or SharePoint governance.

Background in operational excellence or audit-ready environments.

Strong critical thinking and stakeholder management skills.
