UPS Electrician

Who You Are:

You are a technically skilled professional with a deep understanding of UPS architecture, including bypass systems and battery banks. You bring hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and battery analyzers. You are well-versed in load testing, autonomy testing, and performing hot swaps of battery modules. Your strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals ensures precise and safe execution. You are also familiar with UPS alarm systems, monitoring software, and SNMP integration, enabling you to proactively manage and troubleshoot power infrastructure.

What you will do with your expertise and our support:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in single-phase and three-phase UPS systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis on UPS failures and apply corrective actions.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance plans and document all PPM activities.
  • Replace batteries, test load capacities, calibrate systems, and perform thermal inspections.
  • Carry out all standard tests for new installations or replacements.
  • Ensure UPS systems meet required runtime, load capacity, and failover performance.
  • Maintain logs for all UPS units with records of maintenance schedules, test results, and incidents.
  • Provide detailed service reports, including test readings and fault resolution steps.
  • Confidently operate, service, and maintain various brands and models (1kVA to 120kVA).
  • Work across both modular and standalone UPS units integrated with security systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes and operational standards.
  • Adhere to company procedures during battery handling, power isolation, and testing.
  • Guarantee a minimum power backup as per design capacity for all critical security systems.
  • Minimize downtime and enhance uptime of UPS infrastructure

Credentials & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 10 years experienced UPS systems installation, maintenance and repair
  • 5 Years UAE Experience is mandatory
  • Computer Literate
  • Using advanced electrical tools
  • Termination of various types of electrical cables.
  • Generic Troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Driving license is a plus
