VP Infrastructure Architecture

Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture vision, principles, and roadmap aligned with business and technology goals.

  • Establish and enforce architecture governance frameworks, including review boards and compliance processes.

  • Lead the development of reference architectures, patterns, and reusable components.

Platform & Technology Alignment

  • Partner with Platform Engineering to ensure architectural standards are embedded in platform design and delivery.

  • Drive interoperability, scalability, and resilience across platforms and services.

  • Ensure alignment between cloud strategy, DevOps practices, and security architecture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic advisor to CTO, Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure leaders.

  • Facilitate collaboration across business units, ensuring architectural decisions support enterprise-wide goals.

  • Champion API-first, event-driven, and modular architecture principles across teams.

Innovation & Emerging Technology

  • Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, blockchain, edge computing) that align with business strategy.

  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new architectural approaches.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting architecture.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing architecture team (enterprise, solution, data, security architects).

  • Promote a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and architectural thinking.

  • Represent architecture in executive forums and strategic planning sessions.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure architectural decisions support regulatory compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Collaborate with risk and audit teams to assess and mitigate architectural risks.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • 15+ years of related technical and business experience, preferably with global platforms across network, cloud and distributed systems.

  • 10+ years of experience building and maintaining an organization with authoritative knowledge of IT functions in multiple enterprise systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and thought leadership, ability to influence decision makers and gain consensus on difficult issues.

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills, coupled with a highly collaborative ability to work across a global and matrixed organization with the ability to identify, develop and find innovative business and technology solutions for clients.

How you’ll work:

  • This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.

Travel:

  • There may be up to 15% of travel each year.

Salary Range

$186,000.00 - $297,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Rhode Island and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
